Tariq rubbed the small of his back, his golden eyes scanning the parchment in front of him. ‘Tariq, the war is going ahead. All the races are getting prepared though most are trying to keep their training a secret. Hope your men are ready man’ Dammit! He cursed, slamming his fist on the table in front of him. This war will soon hit Ilitheana and hit it big; he only hoped that everyone was ready. They didn’t understand that it would most likely destroy the world they call home and it would cause a bigger rift between the races. That is if they survived this time. He picked up the glass of whiskey, swirling it for a moment before downing the whole glass. His throat burned, his stomach tightening at the tingling sensation as it settled in his belly. It wasn’t the best idea to gulp the alcohol so quickly but he needed it. He had to inform Akira and ask for her opinion. Kieran had all but disappeared and after months of searching for him, he can’t even find a footprint. It was as if he died but Tariq knew that wasn’t true. He was most likely licking his wounds at being rejected from Lilath or heaven forbid, helping the demons. His golden eyes darkened to black at the thought of his best friend betraying the race. The idea was frightening in itself and he ran his fingers swiftly threw his black shoulder length hair. He shouldn’t think such things. Kieran wouldn’t do that, not to his family and friends but then again, he was the wild one out of the group and usually did stuff for his own selfish reasons. No one but him and Lilath knew the true side of Kieran, knew the fits of rage he gets into, how dangerous he is to everyone around him when he doesn’t get his way. He never was one for control and Lilath sadly got the brunt of his brutality when she joined the last war. He took her home, drugged her and raped her. Then when she slowly woke up, he did it again but this time she was fully aware. He bashed her, locking her away in the dungeon and giving her infected rats to feed on but she never apologized. Saying she was the leader of the Brotherhood and had a responsibility to her family. Kieran didn’t agree and kept on punishing her.
Tariq remembered the cold feeling that washed over him at the sight of Lilath curled up in a corner. Her body covered in bruises and cuts. Her eyes were wide with fear and madness at the sight of him. She was shaking so much by the time he got to her and he spent half a day with her, gaining her trust once again and making her feel safe. He remembered the hours, the days, the weeks he spent by her side. Getting rid of the sickness that riddled her body and healing her wounds. He soon found Kieran and demanded an explanation. He simply said she deserved it. He remembered the hot anger he felt, remembering the satisfaction he got from punching him and hearing the bones crack beneath his hands. After that, he never saw Kieran again and now Lilath had found a man she cares about and treats her right. Its how it was meant to be in the first place.
Tariq folded the parchment and placed it in his pocket, his eyes going back to their golden color as he slowly calmed down. He leaned his head back, allowing his thoughts drift for a moment and slumber slowly seeping in.

She walked into the room where Tariq was sitting, padding softly to his side, her black hair whispering around her head and she placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, sensing the tension hidden under his calm exterior. She looked over at the empty whiskey glass and shook her head. She had heard the clink of the decanter against the glass and knew he was trying to get himself well and throughly smashed.
She tisked under her breath and leaned across his seat and took the glass from him, putting the smoked glass next to the mtahing decanter. "Something is really wrong if you are trying to get foxed this quickly. What is wrong mi amor?"

Rochindil sure was tired, he had just travelled far from the lands of the mortals, he had found many things out and their society as a whole sure was diffrerent to what he was used to, had he been gone that long from his homeland. He walked slowly in to the room as not to cause an alarm, war was coming it could be smelt in the very air. As he entered he saw that Akria too was there he bowed to her and Tariq, "I am here to fight by your side Tariq, we may not have a close relationship but my loyalities lie with you and you alone I shall do whatever you bid even if that may be the death of me" He meant every word of this, in his time away he had been deep in thought reflecting upon his way of life and he had finnaly decided to accept what he truely was a creature of the night.

He sensed her the moment she entered the room. His golden green eyes opening for a moment before closing again, the movement so fast that if you blinked you would have missed it. The soft touch of her hand made his muscles tighten in response, his eyes slowly opened to study Akira who took his glass from the place beside him and placed it next to the decanter. At her question, he muttered something before handing the letter to her. “Read this Akira and tell me what you think.” She would figure it out; she would be just as distressed as he was. The war would lead to the many deaths of their dear friends and family.
The next person to enter the room was Rochindil. He was a rogue vampire who deserted their race to figure out his own life and find his own place in this world. After all these months, it seems the young vampire has figured out where to be. Tariq fingered the arm of the chair, his golden eyes studying him for a moment before he said. “It is pleasing to see you have accepted the fate which was given to you by the God’s. I have you know that once you join this family, you will never leave. Deserters will be killed. So choose wisely. If you stay, then pledge your life, your honor and your time for the family.” He turned his attention away from Rochindil, patiently waiting for him to make up his mind, and turned his gaze back on Akira. “What do you think Amor?”

She took the paper from Tariq and ignored Rochi for now and read the paper, then re-read it again.
"This is from who I think it is isnt it?" She was still staring at the paper and the paper began to shake. She was so stunned that she didnt even bother trying to still her hand. "I think we are headed for a bloodbath and a war that will make all the others pale in comparison."
